DISCREATION
Band info

DISCREATION – this name means Death Metal with the best elements of European and American School. Remorseless blasts meet heavy grooves while epic melodies and great choruses complete their sounds. Melodic, but not sweet. Brutal, but not blunt. Catchy, but not soft. That’s Death Metal how DISCREATION celebrate it.

Shortly after founding the band in 2001 they organized their first indoor festival. The 300 visitors of the first “Schlachtfest” were a great scenery for their live debut. After that, gigs as supporting acts for Amon Amarth and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter followed. The result of their first studio time was the 5-track EP “The Great Curse” which has been released in September 2003. The very good criticisms let DISCRAETION play more and more gigs, often as supporter band for bands like The Crown, Agathodaimon or Belphegor.

In 2004, the band went to the studio again. The album “Order To Advance” was released in February 2005 and could make some very good criticisms. “’Order To Advance” is a real good and professional Death Metal album without any failures which sounds bloody heavy and will linger in your memory with its terrific groove.” Was the conclusion of the 36th edition of the Legacy Magazine.

In September 2006, “Order To Advance” has been re-released; this time with a distributor which published the CD in Germany, Austria und Swiss. To upgrade the CD, it included the remastered “The Great Curse” EP as a bonus. Another feature of this album were the two booklets attached to the digipak. Powermetal.de makes up the balance: “Brutal-melodic, moshable…what does a Death Metal fan want more?”

The live front precedes, too. Especially the shows with Mayhem, Endstille and again Die Apokalyptischen Reiter are important to note. Latter could support DISCREATION on their club tour in 2008.

Now, in 2010, DISCREATION are ready to release their new album „Withstand Temptation“. Nine songs which show the variety of the band. Mixed and mastered in Jörg Uken’s Soundlodge Studio (God Dethroned, Dew Scented, etc.) “Withstand Temptation” bribes not only with a powerful and appropriate sound but also with the typical mix of aggression and melody, which ever were the keystones of DISCREATION’s sound.
