HATRED
Band info

Hatred has been founded by Mirko Endes (vocals) and Daniel Buld (drums) in 1998. In April 1999, Steffen Lindner (guitar) joined the band and in June and July 2000, Stefan Hoffmann (bass) and Michael Lehnard (second guitar) joined, too. Matthias Mauer replaced Mirko Endres in September 2000. With this line-up, Hatred played their first show in March 2001 in the Jugendzentrum Neustadt/Saale. After that, the band gained more experience playing smaller and bigger shows. Gigs with e.g Onkel Tom, Tankard, Vendetta, Wizard or Chinchilla in the band’s first years are important to notice.

The biggest successes of the guys from Schweinfurt are shows with Testament and Annihilator in front of thousands of people at the Earthshaker Festival in 2003 and two participations in the Metalcamp Festival in Slovenia in 2005 and 2006. Furthermore, Hatred shared the stage with Six Feet Under, Ektomorf, Destruction and Sodom and were apart from Entombed and Candlemass one of the few foreign bands at Ireland’s biggest Metal festival, the D-O-D.

Commercially, Hatred could call attention witrh their demo “Fractured”. The first 500 pieces of the debut from 2002 were sold out half a year after release; the bulkier second edition is sold out now as well.

The band enlarged their discography by two albums, “Soulless” and “Madhouse Symphonies” and managed to get into the Enzypedia of the Rock Hard Magazine, the most important band enzyclopedia for Heavy Metal and Hard Rock in Germany.

In November 2008 the band signed a record deal with the Lübeck Independent label “Twilight-Vertrieb”. The latest album “Madhouse Symphonies” was remastered and sold Europe-wide.

Furthermore, singer Matthias “Bacchus” Mauer and druimmer Daniel “Evil Ewald” Buld founded the festival “Queens Of Metal” which is presented by the big German Metal label Nuclear Blast.

On December 31st, Hatred could sew up the online voting of the Dubai Desert Rock Festival with their song Caught In The Pit.

Since November 16th, 2009 Hatred allocate with the official hymn of the video game Brütal Legend, Mosh Crüe, a version of their song (We Are The) Moshcrew from their album Madhouse Symphonies.
